DOSSIER DELIVERED IN CHINA 11/10/09!!!!!!
Not much news for anybody but us, but these are little milestones in our journey to Joshua!!! A rep from our agency, maybe even the rep who delivered our Dossier, e-mailed us on Tuesday saying the package had been delivered to the CCAA office in Bejing.
The e-mail said we should have a Log-In-Date within the next week as well. All meaning that after LID (Log-In-Date) we should be traveling to bring Joshua home in 3-5 months from LID.
We also finally decided on what Joshua's full name will be, as well. We posted in an earlier post some of the possibilities that we had come up with. We gathered all of the input from everybody and finally decided on ........................
JOSHUA ERIC DA SHAN STEINER
Ok, Eric was not one of the names we posted, but Jenn and I both seemed to like the name for whatever reason. And it has nothing to do with Jenn's new nephew having the same middle name as his daddy. We both had our 2 favorites mine was Micheal and Eric, and Jenn's was Matthew and Eric. Jenn didn't really like Micheal, and I didn't really like Matthew, sooooo......... We decided on Eric.
We will post more when we find out somemore information.=)

WOW............DTC...............That was FAST ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
DTC, aka DOSSIER TO CHINA!!!!!!!!!!! 11/06/09.
It was just yesterday, Jenn talked with our agency CCAI that our dossier was being sent to translation. Well we got an e-mail this afternoon that it was Done, and on its way to China?!?!?!?!?!?!?! OK, WOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
We will get another e-mail, when the reps in China get our dossier and deliver it to the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs) in Bejing. Our agency contact in Denver said it could take up to 4-8 weeks to get a Log In Date.............But we think it will happen in a week or so. Our agency is REAL conservative with ALL of the timelines they give us. They take the worst possible scenario and then extend it another week or two.
Well we are on our way to Get Joshua sometime in the near future. Maybe as early as January, it is all in the hands of God now (of course it always has been.....).

Final Review of Dossier!!!!!
Jenn had a call form our Adoption Agency today from a lady who was doing the final review of our Dossier, she had just one question. Luckily Jenn had the answer, which just needed some clarification for translating our dossier. WHHEEEWWWWW!!!!!!!! No setbacks or need for additional letters or information.
So everything got moved to the translation dept as of 4 o'clock, today!!!! We think and hope the dossier should be shipped off to China next week sometime. Hopefully Joshua will have a birthday gift of a packet of paperwork and pictures wrapped in red, by his birthday 11/16/09.

DOSSIER TO CCAI !!!!!!
Jenn, sent off our Dossier to our Adoption Agency CCAI, on Friday 10/23/09!! They should recieve it Tuesday 10/27/09. Hopefully they can get it reviewed, translated, and sent to China ASAP!!!!! The sooner the better.

New Pictures of Joshua (William, Michael, Andrew, David, Matthew) Da Shan Steiner
We received some new pictures of Joshua today. We also found out some more news about him as well.
He is described as, "having gone through a very shy phase and was a bit scared of strangers, but now he is very outgoing. Now that he is walking he likes to explore all the corners of his nursery and when on the playground he can be a handful running around!"
It was a wonderful surprise to have gotten this "little" bit of information today. But any "little" info we get is "Humungous" (as Emma would say) in our eyes.
Our last piece of paperwork is in Washington DC now, and hopefully we will get it back by the end of the week.
Oh and yes the new pictures.......................

PROGRESS!!!!!
Not much news on the "gettin Joshua" front. We did get our last piece of the paperwork puzzle today, our I-800A immigration approval for Joshua. We just have to notarize it, certify it, authenticate it, and seal it at Chines Embassy. If I, Eric can get it notarized, and certified, I will try and get it sent off to be authenticated and sealed tommorrow. Not much news other than one step closer to bringing Joshua home!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!

A Little About Joshua
Our Agency CCAI's Waiting Child Department asked us to review 'Fu Da Shan's' file about 3 weeks ago. It only took us about a day to say that HE was our son. We had to follow the normal CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs) protocol and receive Pre-Approval before we could tell anyone that we had accepted his referral, and show him off.
Joshua is from the Province of Henan, China and from the Jiaozuo Child Welfare Institute (Orphanage).
His birthday is November 16, 2007. (Emma and Joshua are only 6 months apart.)
We are still working on piles of paperwork/red tape so WE are thinking/hoping to travel January/February of 2010.
